After several decades in software development, consulting and management, Graham Parker decided to do something easier, like trading. He has degrees in science and management and the CFTe qualification.
Never one to blindly accept conventional wisdom Graham has been systematically setting out to prove that breaking the rules can in fact be detrimental to his account. After ten years of that he feels he still has a fair way to go. He is a private trader who has traded equities, forex and CFDs.
Graham will present Proton Beam Therapy at the conclusion.
6:15 Break (and last minute dinner orders)
6.20pm: Guest Speaker – Darryl Nagel - Adviser, Educator and Trader.
Topic: The Holy Grail of Trading and Investing
Darryl Nagel is a graduate of the University of Sydney, obtaining a BA(Psych). As a trader and investor since 1986, he soon became aware of the important place of the psychology of trading. In 1996 he gave his first presentation on this topic to the ATAA. The presentation was published in the July 1996 ATAA Newsletter. He has subsequently provided seminars and workshops on this important topic throughout Australia and overseas.
We will explore the role of the theories of probability and language as the cause of our emotions, when trading and investing. We will also understand the perfection of our emotions and how we can use them to assist us on our journey to find the "holy grail". The presentation will be interactive. You may be in for a surprise as to the unexpected consequences when exploring the concept of "probabilities".
Join Darryl with his call for a revolution to change the language used in the financial industry. Such language in Darryl's opinion, sabotages us each and every day.
