The Henry Carmichael Theatre, 1st Floor 280 Pitt Street (Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts) - located a short walk from Town Hall train station and from George Street light rail stops. Night rates apply at nearby parking stations from 5 pm onwards.

5.00 pm to 6.00 pm - Networking. Come and join other Sydney chapter members and visitors for an in-person get-together and discussion at  1st Floor 280 Pitt Street (Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts.

6.00 pm to 615 pm - Meeting Welcome and Announcements. In the Henry Carmichael Theatre and online)

6.15 pm to 6.45 pm – Mary McNamara – A deep dive into the markets.                                 

6.45 pm to 7.45 pm –  Price Action using Candlestick Analysis and much more.

Topics:  - The practical application of Technical Analysis using candlestick analysis.

                - Insights into drawdowns in your trading plan

Recent examples of common candlestick patterns such as “the cup and handle” and how to profit from them.

Darryl Nagel BIO

Darryl first joined the ATAA in 1995. He gave his first presentation on the topic of “The Psychology of Trading” to the ATAA in 1976. A transcript of that presentation is on the ATAA website. He commenced trading in 1986 using exchange traded options. Darryl has ASIC qualifications to teach all financial instruments. He has traded most instruments and continues to trade CFDs and options to the present day as a trader and as an investor with his Self Managed Superannuation Fund.

Darryl is currently undertaking a post graduate research project on the topic of “Does the application of probability theory by traders reduce emotions and lead to superior trading decisions”. This project may lead to him attaining a PhD in research.

7.45 pm onwards - Members and visitors are invited to a superb dining and network experience at our dining venue called “The Castlereagh”, 199 Castlereagh Street Sydney, just a short walk from the meeting venue and near the corner of Park Street. You don’t need to be a member of the City Tatts Club to gain entry although members of that Club gain a discount on the meals.
