Presentation – Managing the Trade: One entry with a comparison of five exit strategies – Pippa Carron

After years of studying entry strategies for foreign exchange, indices and commodities, and running a system of eight setups on FX, Pippa now focuses on how to better manage a trade through analysing different exit strategies, including some that are somewhat unconventional.

This presentation analyses five different exit strategies for a very simple FX entry system. The five exit strategies produce very different results: Could Pippa better an automated trading system by hand-selecting entries based on a suite of finely-honed negative and positive filters?

Come along in person or join this webinar to test your TA skills in guesstimating which strategy produces the most profitable outcome, and to find out who wins: Pippa or the algo.

Biography - Pippa Carron

Pippa Carron began trading stocks in the mid 1990s and continued with oscillating interest until six years ago when she joined ATAA and began trading foreign exchange. In her early years with ASX, she tried both black box technology and the Hot Copper 'most discussed' method of selecting stocks with mixed and sometimes surprising success.

More lately Pippa has developed her own FX entry system using daily charts and a variety of indicators brought together in an algorithm to produce eight different setup patterns, as well as swing-trading ASX stocks.

Pippa lives in Canberra and decompresses from market tensions by riding her Harley-Davidson Sport Glide cruiser to interstate destinations and her off-road Yamaha XT 250 in the local Brindabella mountains.
