Most of the fund management industry claim that passive investing for the long term always beats active investing where you try to time the market. It’s repeated so often that the majority of investors treat this as fact! But is this really the case? Can you beat the returns of buy-and-hold using some basic timing of your entries and exits?
In this insightful session, Zac will unpack the numbers and walk through what the data actually shows. He will provide insights into how he manages client investments at Quantara and provides a working strategy for investors that aims to outperform the market and deliver lower risk.
Profile
Zac Zacharia is a former director of the ATAA, having served on both the national and SA-based boards. He has been personally trading and investing since 1999 - gaining experience in shares, options and CFDs over stocks, commodities, indices and forex.
Professionally, he is the Founder and Director of Investments & Finance Solutions at Centra Wealth Group where he provides strategic financial planning and retirement advice to retail and wholesale clients since 2008.
More recently, Zac is the co-founder and Director of Quantara Asset Management, an investment funds management business that uses a systematic, quant-based, investment philosophy to manage client’s portfolios.
