Following a successful professional career in both investment management and investment banking, he now manages his own independent trading business. He is also an international speaker on evidence-based trading approaches. His main focus is the design and development of quantitative trading strategies that trade multiple markets. Richard will provide an overview of how data is used in trading and how we can use different metrics in determining what to trade, paying attention to changes in market regimes and past crises, and how bad assumptions and survivorship bias can adversely affect trading outcomes.

Richard has been trading the markets since the late 1990s. He is also the Chief Information Officer of Norgate Data, an Australian-based data vendor, and also a national director of the ATAA. Norgate Data just recently won, for the second year in a row, the Readers' Choice Awards for End-of-Day data in the Technical Analysis of Stocks Magazine
