The US options market is the largest and most liquid in the world — offering flexibility, leverage, income generation, and sophisticated risk management opportunities.
But where do you start? And how do you trade them efficiently from New Zealand?
In this session, we’re pleased to welcome Greg Boland, Consultant at Moomoo, who will walk us through both the Why and the how to trade US stock options?
Greg will also demonstrate how to:
- Navigate the Moomoo trading interface
- Trade US and ASX shares
- Execute US stock options trades
- Analyse options chains and key metrics
- Manage positions and risk
This will be a practical, hands-on session designed to give attendees confidence to understand and execute stock and options trades responsibly.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Greg Boland, Consultant at Moomoo, has extensive experience across trading, market leadership, education, and risk management.
Greg is a recognised authority on the online trading of exchange-traded products, including stocks, ETFs, stock options, commodity and financial futures, and index options. He has worked hands-on as a stock and options trader and has held senior leadership roles across multiple areas of the financial services industry.
Throughout his career, Greg has served as Head of a Dealing Room, Country Manager, and Head of Marketing and Education, giving him a well-rounded understanding of trading operations, client engagement, and the strategic development of brokerage businesses. His experience spans front-office trading, platform strategy, client education, and business growth.
In addition, Greg has deep expertise in risk management and compliance, having worked closely with regulatory frameworks, trading governance, and operational risk controls — ensuring trading environments are both innovative and robust.
Greg is also a respected educator and mentor. He has been a Visiting Lecturer at Massey University, where he contributed to the development of future finance professionals, and is known for his ability to explain complex market concepts in a clear and practical way for both retail and professional audiences.
