The Front Car Park is for now available for meeting attendees. A permit which is available at the ATAA meeting reception desk must be displayed on the dash of the vehicle. All vehicles parked on St Catherine’s grounds must display a permit to avoid a fine. Free parking is still available in the three hour bays along Park Road and outside the UWA Recreation Centre.

No longer a world of buy and hold; the secular bear market continues to challenge our thinking framework, method, focus and determination
Peter will update the members on both the markets, new thinking for Private Wealth investors around investing and the risks around it as well as traditional investment paths
Peter Pontikis is the Queensland based director of Private Wealth Services. Provider of Private & Institutional Wealth Management services, to Australasian high & ultra high net worth investors and Institutions. A fellow of CPA Australia, he is on their risk management academic advisory committee and also is a senior fellow of FINSIA where he serves on their national financial advisory council. He recently retired as director of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA) after serving on the board for 9 years. Peter’s previous roles have also included Head of Trading & Research for an Australian hedge fund and Senior Financial Markets Strategist for Westpac Investment Bank, Group Treasury Strategist for Suncorp and most recently an investment specialist for ANZ Trustees. And Director Private wealth, St George & Westpac. Until the mid 2000s he also ran a consultancy advising Asian central banks and fund managers. He has authored several books on foreign exchange and trading in financial markets. He also has 2 degrees in his other passion; art and literature.

Notice of Annual Meeting and Election of Councillors
The annual meeting for the election of Councillors for the Perth Chapter will be held at 6.20 pm on the 19th November, 2015, at the St Catherine’s College. Nomination forms for the Chapter must be lodged with the ATAA Chapter Secretary by no later than the 5th November 2015. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the members section of the ATAA website (go to Membership > Forms > Nomination Forms).
