The networking will take place on the ground floor, at the rear end of the bar area (it will be partitioned off for us). At this time of the day, the Happy Hour applies to your drink purchases (note new start time).

Enter from the corner of Lonsdale Street, and head up the escalator, or via the internal plaza from the rear of Coopers Inn.  Parliament railway station is not far away.

Topic: Global Markets Quarterly Technical Outlook

With the first quarter of 2017 almost over what pointers can we look towards to gauge the future direction of the markets? Join Alan for his ever popular quarterly market update, where he will pick apart the events of the last few months and determine the levels and patterns to look for. Using a variety of technical tools and chart types, he will delve into momentum, support, resistance, sentiment and market breadth to analyse local and overseas stock markets, currencies and commodities. Don't miss this valuable presentation which could act as a useful input to developing your own market road map for the coming weeks and months ahead.

6.45pm: Guest Speaker – Kevin Saunders - Full Time Trader and Fund Manager
Topic: A Human in an Algorithmic World

Kevin Saunders has been a full time trader since 2008. He runs a boutique fund in Australia and co-founded a Commodity Trading Advisory (CTA) in the US, with $40M under management. He has two approaches to the market. He specialises in Systematic Mean Reversion Trading on US equities and Futures Trading on the Nikkei utilising Order flow and Volume Profiling techniques. He will be open to general Q&A, discussing the “trading triangle” and the order-flow processes behind the charts. Kevin has a Diploma of Financial Markets from FINSIA for which he received the Dux of Victoria and he is the National Subject Prize winner for “Derivatives – Applying Theory to Practice”.  He is RG146 compliant and registered with the National Futures Association.
