11:30 am: Darryl Nagel: Why is a large percentage of traders not consistently profitable? Do traders have an EDGE?
This topic is based on the material presented to the ATAA Holy Grail Trader Special Interest Group. I have taught thousands of traders since 2003 and I find that very few become consistently profitable.
My presentation takes an alternative journey from traditional approaches to the psychology of trading. My presentation is squarely based on mathematics, the mathematics of probability. Thus, my approach can be proven scientifically. The mathematics involved is simple. You will discover a unique and revolutionary approach to trading the markets. I invite active participation.
I will discuss my approach to trading covered calls over my SMSF share portfolio.
Bio: Darryl Nagel
Darryl started trading in 1986 with exchange-traded options on ASX stocks. He is still an active trader and currently trades covered call options on his investment stocks within an SMSF.
He gave his first presentation to the ATAA in 1996 on the subject of the psychology of trading. Subsequently, Darryl has given presentations on various topics to the ATAA Chapters and a series of talks with his Holy Grail Trader Special Interest Group.
He has taught technical analysis in Australia and overseas since 2003. He has an RG146 qualification with all traded instruments and has been an Authorised Representative under an AFSL. He was a guest speaker on the Sky Business Your Money Your Call program.
Darryl is currently a Councillor on both the Sydney Chapter and the Remote Chapter, and is also a Director on the national Board of the ATAA.
