7:00 pm: Introductions

7:10 pm to 8:10 pm: - Darryl Nagel - Discover a systematic, mathematical approach to reducing adverse trading emotions and producing superior decision making.

This is a workshop style meeting designed to facilitate a discussion of the subject issues between all attendees. The approach is a counter intuitive one, designed to produce outcomes to assist all traders.

At the end of the workshop, you will have an action plan whereby you will view your trading emotions as a superb assistant for better trading outcomes. You will also be shown how your current decision making can be refined.

While the approaches to be discussed deal with the psychology of trading, the approaches are all based on simple mathematics.

Darryl Nagel - Darryl Nagel gained a B.A. majoring in psychology from the University of Sydney. Subsequently, he became a telephone counsellor with the Helping Hand Mission following training as a counsellor. In 1986 he started trading exchange-traded options of ASX equity options. He soon realised the importance of the psychology of trading.

Darryl provided his first presentation on the psychology of trading to the ATAA in 1996. A text of that presentation is on the ATAA website. Over two decades, he provided psychology of trading seminars and workshops for 3 Australian trading education companies.

Darryl holds an ASIC recognised RG146 qualification in most financial instruments. Currently, he is undertaking a full time research higher degree thesis course at the CQUniversity on the subject to be discussed.

Darryl is a Director of ATAA and is the Sydney Chapter President.
