7:00 pm: Reviewing your trading plan and how to take Perfect Trades
In his presentation in Adelaide in May last year, Frank spoke about using pattern recognition to achieve "The Perfect Trade". This year Frank will review various trades that he has taken since the end of October, 2018. He will show patterns that he has traded with 100% success and a well-recognised pattern that has offered zero success.
In all, Frank has written orders for 46 trades since 30th October 2018, an average of 6.5 trades per month. Always informative and entertaining, Frank brings a very practical and simple method of trading.
Frank Watkins first traded the Australian stock market during the “Poseidon Boom” in 1969. During “The Gold Boom of 1979 and 1980 he became actively involved in the market and has been heavily involved since.
Frank’s broking career started in Adelaide in 1986 in the commodity market, and it was here that he began to follow his passion for educating private retail clients at the Securities Institute of Australia. His commodity broking career continued for over ten years, during which time he returned to his native Western Australia. Since then he has managed “night desks” with direct access to the trading floor of various international exchanges.
Frank has had an involvement in software development since 1986 and has operated his own successful Commodity broking firm in Western Australia. More recently he incorporated Pro Trader Pty Ltd in 1998. Pro Trader has developed a unique stock market scanning software application. This software was the first to successfully incorporate Darvas scanning capabilities.
Frank has been a regular speaker at ATAA (Australian Technical Analysts Association) meetings across Australia and at STANZ (Society of Technical Analysts New Zealand) meetings as well as AIA (Australian Investors Association) meetings. He has presented various lunchtime lectures for the ASX in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and the Singapore Exchange, as well as presenting on local radio.
