Your Networking Opportunities:
A key feature of our monthly chapter meetings in this really good meeting venue is the Special Huddles Networking Session where you have the opportunity to make new friendships with like-minded colleagues, to help you build your skills and knowledge and to improve your trading / investing results. Of course, you will also be able to network with your existing friends and colleagues and talk about the markets — both past market performance, and where the market might be going to in the near future.
Visitors are welcome. First visit free, subsequent visits $40.
All first-time visitors and new members are welcome to join in the “Newbies Huddle” during the networking session. This will provide you with information about the ATAA, and the basics about Technical Analysis, and some tips about going forward. If a member is responsible for signing up a new member, the member can receive a discount off their next annual membership renewal fee (to be noted on the New Member sign-up form).
5:00 to 6:00 pm: Informal Networking Session — Mingling with your colleagues.

Also the special Beginners and New Members (Newbies) Huddle for the new folk — to help explain about the ATAA, and about Technical Analysis.

6:30 to 6:50 pm: Alan Clement - Independent Trader and Strategy Developer

After an unexpectedly volatile start to 2018, what do the markets hold in store for the rest of the year? Join Alan for his ever popular quarterly market update, where he will pick apart the events of the last few months and determine the levels and patterns to look for. Using a variety of technical tools and chart types, he will delve into momentum, support, resistance, sentiment and market breadth to analyse local and overseas stock markets, currencies and commodities. Don't miss this valuable presentation which could act as a useful input to developing your own market road map for the coming weeks and months ahead.

6:50 to 8:00 pm: Alan Hull - Educator, Author & Trader.
Topic: Booms and Busts
Major market bubbles and corrections often coincide with periods of economic and political transition. And that is what we are seeing right now with the global economic system in a bizarre state of record low interest rates and rampant money printing. Alan will show you how to spot a bubble and he will reconcile what we are seeing in the long term index charts with the economic and political landscape, based on historical precedents.
Alan Hull is a very well-known leading expert on the Australian Stockmarket and more recently the US, and the best-selling author of “Invest My Way’, ‘Trade My Way’ and 'Active Investing', all by Wrightbooks. He is also the creator of the ‘Hull Moving Average’ which is a relatively smooth moving average with very low lag. It is available in most modern charting programs, both here and overseas.
