7:00pm: James Scott - Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Trading

This will include a range of topics related to the cryptocurrency market, including:
• What is the blockchain?
• The role of cryptocurrencies, and its mass adoption
• Trading versus investing in cryptocurrencies
• Security and storage
• Institutional application and patents
• Institutional strategies
• Regulations and taxes
• Exchanges
• How to trade cryptocurrencies
• Order book and volume profiling

James Scott is CEO of Digichain Capital, a blockchain services and investment company. He is a blockchain advisor and digital investment specialist with a deep understanding of the blockchain industry, including technical and fundamental analysis. James has educated over 300 people in technical analysis and trading best practices, and has qualifications in financial planning and stockbroking.

8:30pm: Charles Browne - Trading Shares and Forex with the Parabolic IndicatorThe Parabolic is an indicator that many traders claim “doesn’t work”. In this presentation, Charles will outline how, with just a slight variation, this indicator can be used effectively in any market, and any timeframe. Also, apart from being a primary entry and exit signal, which was the designer’s intention, the Parabolic can also be used in a variety of ways, including:
• As a short, medium or long-term trend indicator
• As an entry confirmation tool
• As a trailing stop.

Charles Browne is a private trader and has been trading the markets since 1972. He is the current SA ATAA Chapter President and a past National ATAA President, a position he held from 2004 to 2009. Charles trades a range of markets, including shares and forex.
